Listen to a few words about our street from Eco Village resident Dedan Gill.

THE BIMINI PLACE STORY PROJECT has collected and archived stories about the history of our one block street, Bimini Place, as told by people who came to this street over fifty years ago. The project has also collected and archived the stories of people who visit Bimini Place today for the various service agencies, schools and cooperatives that are currently located on the street. The project is sponsored in part by the California Council for the Humanities, a nonprofit agency whose mission is to build community through story telling. By bringing together people and their stories from many generations apart, we are creating a bridge from the present the past. And, we are not only creating new community on Bimini Place today, but recreating a community that existed here over a half a century ago.
